In the coach's cottage on Friday morning, Caydance and Griff woke up early. "Tonight I will be alone in Oregon", Griff said. It wasn't precisely alone since he would be accompanied by two busloads of the Huygens Tech football team. "And you will be alone in your studio." After the episode with Mackie Alarie, Caydance had decided to spend Friday night in her onsite security protected studio.

Meanwhile, Yuri would be next door to the coaches cottage, watching Russian hockey films.

While Griff and team were on their way to Oregon -- where a season with only one loss so far was at stake -- Caydance would go to the East Bay to tell Sido what had emerged from Jack's conversation with St. Denis. She would also go to the opening of the Revealing Conversations exhibition at the Richmond Art Center. The title of this exhibition was suddenly meaningful, Caydance thought.
