Early morning breakfast. Pete came to the table bearing a platter piled high with Swedish pancakes and bacon. In the center of the table was syrup from sugar maples on their own land; blueberry syrup from wild blueberries Pete and Merry picked on the shores of a nearby lake; and sweet butter from a local dairy.

"A helicopter will set us down in Halifax. There the Museum curator will meet us," Tyrone told Pete. "Then, after the Music Box Book of Hours takes its place in the museum, we will rent a car and follow Jacques Marie Frazier's journey from Grand Pre to the Bayou. On the way, we'll overnight at inns on the Saint Lawrance and along the Mississippi Great River Road until we reach Memphis. There, we will take a Riverboat cruise to Baton Rouge, where we'll rent a houseboat and arrive in New Orleans with me at the helm. We had planned to be in New Orleans for Christmas but realistically the journey will take a little longer."
