The Sacramento Valley stadium is, for a small college, impressive. Situated among orchards and vineyards, it rises architecturally like a miniature Roman Colosseum. Inside, green grass is perfectly maintained; seats are new and clean. Hotdog, pretzel, popcorn and peanut, and drink stands are located midway between the two sides of the stadium.

While Huygens players were putting on warmup clothes, Sacramento Valley Coach Duke Dornfeld walked Griff McGuire and Huygens Tech videographer Sally Highpine around the field. Videotaping locations in the stadium were discussed.

Animated conversation between Sally and Duke, Griff observed, veered from game film and turned to basketball. That Duke was more interested in talking with Sally than he was in talking with Griff was apparent.

Tall, slim Sally Highpine, film student from Oklahoma, had been videographer for her High School football team. Steeped in the importance of focusing on the players and not the football, she sought to create a document that revealed where players were in relation to each other, a game film where the viewer would see each play as a whole. Between downs she focused on the audience in the stands.
