Monday Lunch in the cafeteria. Huygens football coaches Griff, Durango, Kekoa, Robbie, and Peggy gathered around a table strewn with sandwiches, French Fries, and the remains of Monday's special: linguini with Italian sausage meatballs, basil, and cherry tomatoes. Next game: an away game on Saturday, September 23 against Pacific Ocean Music Conservatory.

Renowned for its beautiful setting overlooking the ocean, the Pac Ocean campus was halfway between San Francisco and Huygens Tech. On this campus, at summer concerts, musicians from all over the world played on the lawn, while wine from the Napa Valley flowed like water into French La Rochere wine glasses.

"This one is already in the bag," Robbie commented.

"Did I mention that Mira, my wife, teaches flute at this school," Durango growled "Did I mention that Mira is friends with many of the musicians who teach and study there, including the President, who is an Internationally known clarinetist."

Griff paused to make inroads in his Pastrami sandwich. "I suppose this means that it won't be a good idea to run up the score too much or to tackle their offense too aggressively," he said dejectedly. "I will remove blitzing their violinist quarterback from the game plan."

arrow "Is there any way to stop Damian from tackling musicians carrying the ball?" Kekoa asked.

"Yup, it's called not playing Damian in this game," Durango replied.
