"Perfect timing. JuanJose won't be back from a marathon drumming practice session for at least an hour. I am home by myself ; it is not as late in Miami as it is in California; and there is a pitcher of Margaritas in the refrigerator."
"Today, Huygens played Lodi University. Does Gabriel Camden Lozano, Head Coach of the Lodi University Bulls ring a bell?"
"How much more tequila should I put into my Margarita?"
"Quite a lot. I wasn't planning to go to Lodi, but when Griff told me who was coaching the Bulls, I told him your story. With a promise of beating Lodi with a lopsided score, he talked me into going. In case Huygens did not win, I tucked my hair into a baseball cap; wore tinted sunglasses.
The final score was Huygens 41 - Lodi 14. We could have shut Lodi out, but, despite the way GC insulted Griff and the questionable behavior of GC's Defense, leaving Lodi with no score would not have been gentlemanly behavior; at 41-0, he put in his backup team. You should have seen GC's face when I took off my hat and sunglasses, and Griff introduced me as his wife.
"I owe your husband a case of Cuban beer. Meanwhile, JuanJose won't be home for a while; a recap of the game would be welcome."
