Two minutes remained. Huygens was down 8 points. River Angelos took command of the Offense. Stance to contact, the O-line was moving -- with unbelievable speed aggressively pushing back El Dorado Defense, maintaining a well defined pocket for pass protection and opening large gaps for Sun and B2 -- so effectively that in the stands, AKA Harvey was standing up and cheering. "Holy Mother of God," Coach Perkins-Sinclair muttered in a moment of recognition.

As if the team was one unit, Huygens moved rhythmically down the field: River handoff to Gerry Sun, run; handoff to Sun, long run; lateral pass to Casey Murphy, run; handoff to B2, run; lateral pass to The Baron, substantial run; flea flicker, deep forward pass to Achebe. Along the way, B2 limped off the field after Dbane pancaked him.

In the red zone, River ran the ball into the end zone himself. Touchdown Huygens.

The IC Chips had no choice but to go for the two-point conversion. Lined up against Huygens were Dbane, Raith2, and an intimadating end zone barricade of big guys.

But, if El Dorado knew how many times during his Raiders career, Griff had been brought in to complete two-point conversion passes -- and how often Griff had drilled River Angelos and DeJuan Achebe in two-point conversion plays -- El Dorado would not have been in celebration mood. And, if Jamaar and Kyrone had not been aggressively protecting Achebe, a perfect pass to Achebe's waiting hands might not have dramatically been completed in the end zone.

When El Dorado possession began, in the last few seconds of the game, Damian sacked Croc. Final score -- in a time when ties were still regulation -- Huygens 28 El Dorado 28.

The computer science students in the Huygens band responded with a stirring rendition of a Polytech unity song: Kraftwerk's "Pocket Calculator":

"I'm the operator
With my pocket calculator
I'm the operator
With my pocket calculator
