"Kendrik identified the Keith exhibition catalog as the book he gave Ted Treharne 48 years ago, Caydance replied. "This confirms the identity of the man who was probably the first occupant of the studio. Although not an established professional artist, in addition to his research, Ted Treharne was himself a painter. Kendrick found it surprising that none of Ted's paintings were in the studio -- with the exception of the gold-framed landscape painting that hangs on the wall. In Kendrick's opinion, although this painting is more mature than his early work, it has the hallmarks of a Treharne. But, Nico thinks that the painting depicts Utah Beach in Normandy several decades after D-Day."
