Friday evening. Griff was looking out the window of the coach’s cottage. On his mind were anticipation of Caydance's immanent arrival and anticipation of Saturday's game against a team with a Quarterback, Theagenes Johnsonm aka Thea-jo, who should be playing on a Big Ten or Pac Ten campus, but instead was leading a vastly inexperienced local team -- with, their game film had disclosed -- the exception of Tight End Ramses Wilson Jones, who seemingly came from nowhere, but synched well with Thea-jo.

In some sports, a dominant pair of players on an otherwise mediocre team could sometimes pull off surprising victories, but this was not as likely in Football, where well-planned sequences of plays so integrally involved the interactive roles of many players. So far, although Thea-jo himself was attracting scouting interest, his team was wins 0 - losses 4, and one of those losses was Coach Sebo's Pac Ocean’s only win.

There was little doubt in Griff’s mind that Huygens would take Saturday's game, but he also looked forward to seeing Thea-jo play.

Caydance was late due to an eventfull call from France, where her brother Jack and his colleague Nico St Denis were -- in search of a long missing soldier -- about to drive to Reims.

arrow But it was not Caydance who drove up the hill to Huygens in a forest green Ford Ranger.
